The Role
Charlie’s OOSH is seeking experienced Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The position will be for up to 20 hours a week.
We are a Christian-owned and operated business passionate about serving children and families in our community. Applicants must work alongside the current Educational Leader to develop and implement our play-based program, support and connect with attending children and their families.
The applicants need to be passionate about the OOSH industry, have knowledge of children’s development, and clearly understand how to provide a safe environment for children 5 – 12 years. The applicant must communicate well and connect with children, work colleagues and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• The ability to provide adequate supervision and engage in positive interactions with children.
• Build positive relationships with the children and use their interests and ideas within the program.
• The preparation and implementation of educational programs, including Vacation Care, supporting and assisting Educators.
• Connecting and supporting families.
• Understanding and implementing WHS requirements.
• Be an active team member sharing shift responsibilities and be an effective communicator
Essential Criteria:
• Current Working with Children Check
• Hold a current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate (preferred)
• Proof of Child Protection training.
• Have a recognised qualification of at least Certificate IV or have 3 or more years of experience in a relevant field and demonstrate the ability to play, facilitate and engage with children.
• An understanding of My Time Our Place. •An understanding of the National Quality Framework.
• Demonstrate different management styles when managing children.
• Assist in providing and facilitating an environment that is safe, interesting and appealing.
